Turning Plans into Places

Practical planning advice for property development and resource consents.

Helping property owners, builders and developers understand what's possible, identify the approvals required, and navigate the planning and consent process throughout the Waikato.

What we do

Planning support from first question to consent

Every project starts with the same question — what is actually possible here? These are the areas Gilbert Planning can help with.

Development feasibility

Understand what may be possible before committing to a purchase, a design or a development path.

Resource consent applications

Prepare and coordinate land-use and subdivision consent applications.

Planning advice

Interpret planning rules, constraints and the approvals a project is likely to require.

Development opportunity assessment

Identify practical options for making better use of a property.

Council coordination

Manage planning questions, supporting information and the consent pathway with Council.

About

Hi, I'm Wednesday Gilbert

I provide practical planning support for property owners and development teams. With 10 years exerience, my approach is to explain the planning pathway clearly, identify issues early, and help you move your project forward efficiently.

Having worked in both Council and private planning consultancies I provide a unique lens to projects, through the understanding of both sides. I deal with you directly — the person reviewing your site is the person preparing your application and fronting Council. No handovers, no account managers, and a straight answer when a proposal is unlikely to work.

Bachelor of Environmental Planning.
Intermediate member of New Zealand Planning Institute.
How it works

A clear path from question to consent

Three steps, so you always know where the project stands and what happens next.

Identify the planning pathway

I work out whether consent is required, what information is needed, and which specialists may need to contribute.

Step 03

Prepare and manage the application

I coordinate the planning material, prepare the application, and manage the process through Council.
